![]() Today in class we learned how freedom also comes with conflict. Yes the United States has the first amendment and all the others to protect us, but there are conflicts that are controversial to the freedom of speech, religion, press, and to assemble and any other amendment. Yes you can have the right to practice any religion as you please but to an extent. If your religion tells you to go commit harm to people you cannot do that because the Constitution prevents that. There is always a parallel between an event that happens in the U.S. and has a paradox to the Constitution.

"The Crucible" F.I.N.D. Reflection-One fact about the Crucible, is that this was an actual event that happened in history, it is known as the Salem Witch Trials. While reading/learning about "The Crucible", I felt really mad and sad that this could have happened because a girl basically started a whole hysteria that killed a lot of innocent people. A new idea that I learned while reading "The Crucible" is scapegoating, and how people blame other people for something they didn't do just to feel good. A [ personal, academic, or mental } decision that I will make based on my reading and understanding of "The Crucible" is that just one person could start something bad by just pointing a finger. ![]() Growth Mindset Two Paragraphs, Growth mindset is the idea of growing from helpful criticism, effort, and failures. There are a lot of trends that have contributed to this growth mindset ideas in which many have used to become successful such as in technology or in people's daily lives. An example would be Elon Musk, who is a founder of Tesla who believes in the developing of electric cars for the future. In which the developing of these cars require many failures which will some point reach success. Till this day Tesla is a major car company and continues to develop more cars for the future. In an article by Growth Your Mindset. PDF, it states that, “people with a growth mindset embrace challenges and persists in the face of setbacks” What this means is that people with a growth mindset would rather face failure rather than not learning from their mistakes. Our artifact contains a depiction of two different car models by two different companies. One car being the Tesla Model S which is an innovated car running on electricity unlike our other car which is the Honda Accord that runs on gas. Our artifact displays the Tesla being charged at an electric charging station then we have our Honda getting pumped with fuel. Our artifact contributes to our gate icon since many of the patterns that many companies follow are the growth and fixed mindset patterns, such as the way they think. In conclusion an example of growth mindset is the Tesla since it’s background of early failures is similar to a growth mindset itself. Growth Mindset Reflections, The growth mindset project was a interesting project, It made me think about myself also. When we reading articles I was comparing myself to Fixed and Growth Mindset Ideas, I had a lot of fixed mindset characteristics. So that is why i’m trying to fix my mindset into a growth mindset. In this project I learned how to work and communicate better with people. I did learn some new things during this project, like growth mindset itself. What I learned in this project was that a fixed mindset messes up our thinking while a growth mindset helps our thinking. In conclusion, This project helped me think in ways I haven't thought of, It made me think differently. |
